How do Anonymous Conversations work?
With Anonymous Conversations you can have secure, anonymous, two-way conversations with the people who submit feedback, even if they don't provide their email address
Sometimes you might need more context or more details on the feedback you've received, but how can you get that when the submitter is anonymous? SavvyIdeas' Anonymous Conversations feature is the answer.
Anonymous Conversations does exactly what it says - it enables you to respond to feedback and the submitter to reply to you, all whilst protecting their identity.
How does it work?
After submitting their feedback to a SavvyIdeas suggestion box, the submitter will be given a unique URL and a security-code which they can use to view replies and post additional information.
If the submitter provides an email address we will send them an email containing these details, but if no email address is provided they need to make a note of the details. SavvyIdeas provides a PDF containing the details that they can download.
Does the submitter have to provide their email address?
No, by default the email address is optional.
The suggestion box owner is able to make the email address mandatory, but be aware that this may reduce the number of people who provide feedback as, even with our promise of anonymity, some people will be nervous about providing their email address.
How will the submitter know if there's a reply to their feedback?
If the submitter provided their email address, SavvyIdeas will send them an email to let them know they have a response.
If they didn't provide their email we're unfortunately not able to notify them when they have a response, but they can see any responses by using their unique url and security code.
How do you secure the submitter's email address?
If the submitter provides their email address, we encrypt it and store it securely in our database. The email address is never made visible and is only used to notify the submitter of how to view any replies (if Anonymous Conversations is enabled) and when a reply is sent.
